Prof Gülmez is a Medical Doctor and a Pharmacologist, graduated Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Ankara, Turkey.
In 2010, she was qualified as University Associate Professor of pharmacology, in Turkey.
She has obtained her HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) at Université de Bordeaux in 2013.
She has obtained her 2nd PhD degree by Eu2P Programme on pharmacoepidemiology in 2017.
Her research area is pharmacoepidemiology and clinical pharmacology; she has published more than 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals .
She is the Board Member of International Consulting Editors (BICE) of the journal "Clinical Therapeutics" since 2014.
She is a peer-reviewer of top SCI medical journals; JAMA, JAMA Internal Medicine, BMJ, BJCP, EJCP, Epidemiology, PDS, BCPT.
She sat in the European Association for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (EACPT) Council from 2003-2011 as Representative Delegate of Turkey. She was the member of the Executive Committee of Turkish SCP Chapter of International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) from 2007-2010.
She worked at University of Southern Denmark from 2005-2007, where she has started her pharmacoepidemiology carier from strach, and conducted research projects in pharmacoepidemiology.
She has worked at the University of Bordeaux from 2007-2017, where she has leaded pharmacoepidemiologocal projects on DILI and other subjects, on European and national levels.
